A defendant’s alarming charges

On 3rd April 2026, a Government member was sent to ban court, having been charged with some alarming charges. One of the earliest signs of trouble involved an incident on RustGalaxy Nexus Montreal where the Government were playing their April wipe. The defendant visited the President’s base, where he launched grenades until the President stopped running away and was blown up. The President overlooked the “ridiculous” teamkill, but recalled that “(the killer) was a particularly delinquent villager, asking teammates for resources rather than, you know, gathering them himself.” Over the following hours, the delinquent “spiralled” into “goblin-mode” as he started shooting at teammates.

Another villager described the goblin as “annoying“, and explained the charges in the ban court case as including perhaps one of the most ridiculous moments in the cultural history of the game, when the maniac in question stole a teammate’s Minicopter, and “deliberately” crashed it, killing the passenger, whose items were not recovered. What added to the notoriety of the incident was the exchange following the crash – the owner of the Minicopter “politely objected” to its theft and destruction, to which the maniac delivered a “hard gamer word” in calling him a “***** ******* ******”.

While a screenshot wasn’t captured of the incident, it would have looked similar to a different Minicopter crash in the village seen in this screenshot.

It was also noted the “troll” had “dropped gamer words constantly – in voice chat and also repeatedly in global chat“, and had “posted a hitler gif in own ban court“. A general recalled the moment the ban court case was opened, saying: “we banned him, and five minutes later put C4 on his door and griefed his TC.” The base would have been easy to raid, because the tool cupboard was in the airlock. The case ended on 6th April – the 17 votes were unanimous in banning the troll from the Discord server, with the length of the ban being the maximum (356 days). A general reflecting on the episode noted that most of the drama had happened in a short space of time on 3rd April, and commented: “he nose-dived hard.”
