An idea to help celebrate Rust culture is by sharing (or recreating) famous paintings. I wrote an article that linked to a player’s 2015 painting of The Starry Night, but unfortunately, it wasn’t long before their screenshot of it disappeared. The image was hosted on Steam, but opening the link to it now states: “There was a problem accessing the item.” I decided to try my hand at painting it myself:
The loss of the original screenshot sparks an obvious question: should the Rust community archive their cultural treasures? It would certainly be a loss if KicakMorderca‘s irreplaceable 2016 Mona Lisa also disappeared:
