Longest unraided structure

Ironically the easiest structure to raid became one the longest standing unraided ones. Built near the Government village, it was a wooden 1×2, obviously created just to host the rustnews sign, and lasted the month-long wipe.

The sign, halfway up a snowy mountain overlooking the village.

Every building within the original village walls had been raided or decayed following the evaporation of most of the residents later into the wipe. The art gallery had been raided for some reason, but was patched up soon afterwards.

Blockhouse 48 was patched up seven times; it was bizarre seeing it targetted repeatedly considering that it was largely a roleplay house that didn’t contain sulfer (or anything else after the first raid). It seems the larger the building – the more of a target it becomes.

But perhaps the sign was left alone due to the cursed demonic imagery it manifested…

I could see it from my base, but it never showed what was painted on it. Instead it presented mysterious pictures, or even a live video feed. It only appeared normal if you got up close to it, where suddenly all the weird nonsense would disappear.

Although one time I got close I was baffled by a shining box resting against it, until I figured that it was a Christmas airdrop that by chance had landed right on it…
