In August 2021, Secret Clan underwent a democratic revolution to emerge as The Rust Government. After 5 years of monthly wipes, here is a glance at some of their biggest raids.
An uncommon metric to describe the scale of a raid would be to count how many guns were captured. In a counter-attack during the August 2022 wipe, the Government used a compound bow to destroy enemy turrets, and ultimately looted an impressive 117 guns. A digital painting was made of the compound they raided:
During the diplomatic drama of October 2022, the Government formed an alliance with Co-op to counter Shelly’s Group. The Alliance used 6 boats to transport 39 raiders to the far side of the map, where they built two raid bases and attacked Shelly’s clan base with ~300 rockets in an action named Operation Rustopia Freedom. The amphibious landing:
One of the most dramatic battles occurred when the Gov built a village on a 2x server in September 2023. The village had been hit by a series of four raids which each involved the attackers using a raid tower. The Government villagers made good defensive use of rockets, at one point destroying a Modular Car. When the Government captured the last tower, the attackers made a final charge to attempt to retake it themselves, which the Gov fended off. The server then crashed with a rollback of several minutes, so both sides raced to get back into the server, where the final charge was replayed again, which was won again by the Government. The four raid bases:
One of the longest battles they fought happened during the October 2023 wipe. The Gov laid a minefield to slow down an imminent attack against their village. The invaders built a raid base, but the determined Government villagers armed with rifles and shotguns kept the pressure on for 10 hours before they finally captured the raid base, which is in focus in the background:
When a player insulted a Gov member in December 2024, the Gov used an Attack Heli and a Modular Car to support a raid against the base of the antagonist. The Modular Car drove around picking off opponents around the target base, and the heli suppressed the base itself. The vehicles helped pull off what was described as a profitable raid. A screencap of the Attack Heli in action:
One of the most distant raids was launched in May 2026, which involved Government members using the RustGalaxy Nexus system to warp to a server in order to launch a counter-attack against a fortified island 4,889m away from the Gov village using submarines. The Gov badly damaged the island defences and sank two boats for the loss of only one submarine. A Modular Boat sinking after being hit by torpedoes:
This democratic clan has long proven their self-motivated culture, determined to answer any threat with an aggressive mixture of strategies.
