The democratic Discord clans such as The Government and The Village had run ban court systems, which had at one point shown a list of which way the jury members had voted. Eventually, a change was made so that the votes were cast anonymously, which reduced “campaigning” and “social heat“.
Sometime much later, it was revealed that an unofficial website had been used to track ban court cases, including a list of members that voted in each case, and whether they voted for or against banning the defendant.
The website explained:
Ever wanted to know who voted yes to ban you, or someone else? Wonder no longer, but be wary for you may regret knowing…
I’d speculate that the website could have been created for the sake of transparency, so that you’d know if cliques were campaigning against someone, but it also then made it difficult to confidently vote against any member of an anti-social clique without them finding out and harassing you for it.
The website had ban court case information dating back to atleast 15th Jan 2025, and I would assume that it was known to atleast one of the cliques for months before it became common knowledge in April 2025. I have no proof that it was weaponized, but it’s easy to speculate that it influenced internal conflict, and certainly would not have been the first moment of intrigue among the democracies.
